Coupons are sold at the Humane Society as soon as they open on the first day of the month; unless the first happens to fall on a Tuesday or holiday in which case, they will be closed. Coupons will then be sold the following day. The cost is $45 cash only, with no checks or credit cards. This amount is paid directly to the Humane Society. They will issue you a voucher that is good for one month and they will also give you a list of participating veterinarians. You will call one of the vets, schedule your appointment and tell them you will be using a voucher. The voucher only covers spaying or neutering, if your pet is pregnant or in heat, the veterinarian may charge you an additional amount. Since this program is run on donations and grants, there is a limit of one per person or household per month.

The Humane Society does not make a profit from the sale of these vouchers. They pay an additional $45 to the veterinarian. Donations are always appreciated
