Jackson County Ambulance Service currently has full-time paramedic positions. The current hourly rate is $23.39. We offer lateral transfer for experience pay with substantial proof of previous active service in EMS, and education and professional development recognition including, but not limited to college degree, NREMTP and CCEMTP, and certain instructor credentials. We offer Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund retirement, partially paid health, vision, and dental insurance, paid vacation, sick, and personal leave. Interested candidates must possess a valid Paramedic license, NREMTP licensed paramedics must seek reciprocity with the Illinois Department of Public Health for an Illinois Paramedic License. We have a flexible schedule including 12 and 24-hour shifts. We offer later transfer for experience pay with substantial proof of previous active service in EMS, education, and professional development recognition including, but not limited to college degree, NREMT, and certain instructor credentials. We offer a flexible schedule combination of 12- and 24-hour shifts. Interested candidates must possess a valid National Registry EMT license or Illinois EMT license. National Registry license holders must seek reciprocity with the Illinois Department of Public Health for an Illinois EMT License.
