Personal Life

• Erin and her wife Diane married in 2018, and they welcomed their daughter Amelia in July 2020.
• They are expecting their second child at the end of July 2022.
• In her free time, she enjoys swimming, boating, attending craft beer festivals, listening to live music, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

Education

• Erin had lived in Carbondale since the fall of 1999 when she began studying at Southern Illinois University.
• Since initially enrolling, she has obtained a BS in Marketing (2004); BS in Recreation (2007); MSEd in Recreation (2010); and is currently pursuing a BS in Fermentation Science.

Professional Life

• Working for the Carbondale Park District from 2007 to 2021, she held several titles ranging from intern to Recreation Coordinator to Interim Superintendent.
• She stepped away from the park district in early 2021 to stay home with her daughter and to seek out new ways to serve her community.
• Erin currently works remotely for a private organization.
• She was proudly appointed to be a Jackson County Board Member in May 2021 to fill a vacancy in District 6.
• In addition to serving on the Jackson County Board, Erin also serves as the Treasurer for Carbondale Main Street.
