Personal Life
- My family has called Southern Illinois home since before the Civil War. The Presley’s started in the hills of Makanda where my Great Grandfather Wayman Presley founded Presley Tours and the Bald Knob Cross. Born and raised in Carbondale, I returned to the area in 2011 after living abroad with the Peace Corps and more than 14 years in Southern California where I began my 25-year career in banking.
- As a Hobbie I recently renovated the old Yellow Cab building in downtown Carbondale and now run a successful Boxing and Kickboxing gym called Southern Illinois Syndicate Gym.
Education
- 1994: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston Illinois
- 2005: Executive Masters of Business Administration with honors from Pepperdine University in Malibu California
Professional Life
- 25+ years with Bank of America, currently as Marketing Director
- Life-long volunteer and philanthropist: I served as a Community Health Educator in the Peace Corps. I founded a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization for rural community devlopment in the late 1990s, was a prior President of the Arbor District Neighborhood Association in Carbondale, previous board member for Buckminster Fuller Dome Home, previous Neighborhood Alliance board member - currently serve on the board for Carbondale Main Street as a committee chair.

As a Jackson County Board member for district 6 in Carbondale, it’s an honor to represent the interests of the people of our County."
