Cities, Towns, and Villages

With a population of 60,218 (2010 Census), Jackson County, Illinois is made up of many unique cities and villages. The two largest cities are Carbondale and Murphysboro. Ava and Grand Towers are smaller towns located in the northwest and southwest portions of the county. The villages of Jackson County include Campbell Hill, De Soto, Dowell, Elkville, Gorham, Makanda, Vergennes, and Jacob.
